This tour is based on a book by Herb Foster, Jay Schofield and Tom Dresser. Martha’s Vineyard in World War II was published in 2014. Herb was a World War II veteran, who served in the occupation of Japan after the war. He convinced us a lot happened here on the Vineyard, and we wrote a book about it. He always wanted to give a tour of the Vineyard. This tour is dedicated to the memory of Herb Foster, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 93.
