Raleigh is a city filled with dark haunted stories and legends. Spirits of the deceased are said to walk among us, especially after dark. This tour shares the locations and the lore associated with the most famous and notorious of these haunts, and the burial places of many of these former citizens of our capital city. There are 21 stories told at 20 different locations, mostly in the N.C. State University and downtown Raleigh areas. Some of these locations are on private property, so please be respectful of property owners and keep your ghost hunting activity confined to the streets and public sidewalks in front of these locations. Stops 4 – 9 and 11 – 15 are walkable if you have a good pair of shoes and don’t mind a little exercise. Tour stop 20 involves a bit of walking, so skip it if you are not in the mood for a short hike.
